Here's another question for you writers to answer, and I'll (eventually) put the results on The Processor.
I myself quit writing U2 slash because I'd started writing in another fandom. (The response there was not so encouraging as the response I got in the U2 fandom.) Then I quit writing slash altogether because I felt it was a waste to write smut when I could be writing legitimate, marketable fiction.
But, you know, sometimes the muse calls you back...
Anyway, so this question comes in three parts:
1) Have you ever said "F**k this, I quit"? Or at least thought seriously about it?
2) ...And if so, why did you feel that way? Did you do something else instead, like write for another fandom?
3) If you came back to writing U2 slash, what brought you back? If you didn't come back, why not?
