Back in 2006, I participated in National Novel Writing Month, and I wrote 100 chapters of U2 fic -- not one long story, but 100 short moments in time. I had the whole thing betaed, but I never posted it online until now. I'll be posting the whole thing online over the next couple of weeks.

Interstitial Challenge: Achtung! Remix!

That's right, guys and dolls, it's that time of year again (okay, we're a little late, but who believes the first release date rumours anyway?): time to dust off those confessional booths, rev up those Trabants, and stretch out your writing muscles for the return of the Love is Blindness Remix Challenge!

Achtung! Remix! will be running from August 10th right up to September 14th, giving you a whole month to dream it all up again. We had sixteen fabulous stories last year, and I'm hoping that we'll manage even more this year. The format will be much the same, but please reread the info below just in case.

The Really Important Bit:

Most remix challenges are opt-in rather than opt-out, but given the size of the fandom (and to encourage some of the newer writers to dive in!) we're going to open it up. Besides-- it gives us all a good opportunity to go back and read stories we may have missed or forgotten about. We've got more than six years of history here on livejournal - let's use it!


***If anyone wishes to remove their stories from the potential pool, comment below and I will put your name on the "UNAVAILABLE" list which will be posted before the challenge is officially opened at 11.59pm on June 17th. NO ONE may remix any authors whose names appear on the unavailable list.***
