Author's notes: Touch the Flame part 3. Exit takes off where Revelation ended, and if you haven't read the earlier parts, I suggest you do so first. This is a multi-chaptered story, set during the Joshua Tree tour in 1987. Despite this being fiction, I have tried to be historically correct when it comes to dates and details about concerts etc. and if you find any errors, I would be very much obliged if you would like to point them out. Lyrics quoted are from various U2 songs, as well as from Queen's 'It's A Hard Life' (The Works, 1984). I'm very grateful to pop_daisy for her bravery to take on this tremendous project - you made a world of difference, honey!
