Author's notes: This was written for the Red challenge at u2slash. It's also inspired by a rather well-known photograph of U2 from 1989. Since I don't know when or where the picture was taken or who the photographer is, I've decided I can make this up as well. rhythmsextion kindly offered to beta this for me and she suggested some changes that really improved the story. Any mistakes left are totally mine and any feedback - good or bad - is highly appreciated. Best enjoyed with a glass of red wine and 'If You Wear That Velvet Dress' - preferably the PopMart Live from Mexico City or the Jools Holland version.
