I've got a little challenge I want to offer up to the entire community, and I figure, given the tour going on at the moment and all, that this is as good a time as any. This is something I've had vague thoughts of, on and off, for the last couple years, and I'd bet I'm not the only one. So, most of us have seen tapes and dvds of shows, if not (yet) the shows themselves, over the past twenty five years. We've probably all seen the moment in the Boston DVD where Edge kicks his guitar. Or heard about Chicago May 10th, when Adam kicked the mike stand over.


In that spirit, I wanna suggest the Sod's Law Challenge u2005, where I invite anyone who wants - whether you consider yourself a writer or more a reader - to comment to this entry with some idea for something going horribly, horribly (humourously) wrong onstage. I'm talking in terms of, well, the Lemon breaking down and them getting stuck inside. (Which actually happened, of course.) Just anything you can think of which could be funny (and non-fatal, by preference. Just saying. I know you bloodthirsty lot. ;) ) Set it anywhere from the babies to the current tour, involve anyone from the band, have it be one line long or thirty, have it vaguely slashy or totally gen**, whatever you like. Have at, people. I'm not looking for winners or to rank people, I'd just like to see a load of random ideas to get us all giggling, and, well, if any of them inspire anyone to something longer, I doubt any of us are going to complain.

**Yes, I realise that totally gen stuff should be in u2fic, but I think a lot of people aren't friended to that and are to this, and I think it's easier to keep everything to one post.

I've written this angsty B/E thing, which for me is scary enough because I haven't written anything in ages and I'm still not sure where this one's coming from! Thus, I would very much appreciate if someone would be so kind as to beta it and point out whatever needs some rework (it's not too long). Since English isn't my native language, I tend to feel a bit insecure about prepositions and tenses. Anybody up for the job?
